The Sanford Series would have its next event take place on Monday here in the Capital City at the Hillsview Golf Course in Pierre and local athlete Nick Bothun would win the event.
Bothun would shoot a total four under par, 68, one better than Governor teammate Luke Olson who was three under par, 69. Sawyer Sonnenschein would finish fifth, but be just one under par, 71 as three Pierre athletes were in the top five and all three were under par at Hillsview.
Lincoln Houska was just a shot over par, 73 at 11th place while Onida’s Gavin Colson would place 28th at seven over par, 79 and Jack Bartlett of Pierre would finish at eight over par, 80.
Bothun, Sonnenschein and Olson are 3-4-5 in the standings of the Sanford Series right now after the fourth tournament overall in the series. The next event will be held next Monday and Tuesday at the Red Rock and Meadowbrook Golf Courses in Rapid City.
