Pierre Post 8 will look to extend its consecutive wins this afternoon when the Eights host Sioux Falls East in a doubleheader prior to the 4th of July break.
The Eights are now 4-18 after a doubleheader sweep of Spearfish last Wednesday and look to keep things rolling. They play a team who could be coming in a little weary. Sioux Falls played in a tournament this past weekend going 2-2 with two blow out wins and two close losses. However, East is still one of the top teams in the state. East is 11-3 in South Dakota games and have won eighth straight prior to this afternoon. After last Wednesday’s doubleheader sweep for Pierre, the Eights have jumped in the top 15 and are in position to make the playoffs if the season had ended today. A lot of seed points are up for grabs for Pierre today before having the rest of the week off and playing against on Sunday against Box Elder.
