PIERRE, (KCCR) — With the new month brings new changes to the Avera St. Mary’s Hospital Board of Directors. Rob Wylie has been appointed to serve as the Board’s new chair. He served as vice chair last year and has served on the Board for three year. Wylie is the former Executive Director of the South Dakota Retirement System. He held that post for 38 years. Filling Wylie’s former role as vice chair is Kristin Brost. Brost is the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for BankWest. Brost has served on a number of local boards including Capital Area Counseling and Pierre/Fort Pierre Rotary, South Dakota Discovery Center, Oahe Family Y-M-C-A and Post Eight Baseball. Also joining the Board is Jeff Hallem. Hallem serves as Assistant General Counsel for the South Dakota Investment Counsel and is a retired Assistant Attorney General. He has previous board service with Missouri Shores, Pierre Housing Authority, Friends of Public Broadcasting, Pierre Elks and South Dakota Elks Association and Pierre Players. Mike Weisgram is leaving the chair position and the board following nine years of service.
