PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will start in special business with a proclamation for the Cub Scouts before Commissioners consider approval of a five-item consent calendar. A public hearing is scheduled for 5:45 pm for the water projects connected to the Euclid Avenue Utilities Project and street reconstruction project planned for next year. The Commission will get an update on the annual Missouri River clean-up taking place on July 10th and will consider a change order for a new Airport Rescue and FireFighting or ARFF truck. Commissioners will consider a 10th amendment to an engineering agreement with Burns and McDonnell for the wastewater treatment plant. Also on the agenda is a request to purchase a submersible mixer for the Wastewater Department and second reading of an ordinance change updating the nine-one-one surcharge ordinance. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
