A five team pool for Post 8 will feature four guaranteed games to be played with two on Friday and two on Saturday. The top two teams overall will play for the championship on Sunday.
Post 8 will start the tournament against the Mandan Chiefs, a team they saw back in early June. Pierre lost both games to the Chiefs in Mandan with 10-0 and 6-5 scores. The Chiefs are coming in right around the .500 mark.
Pierre will then face South Central Cubs out of Winkler, Manitoba, Canada. The Cubs came into the weekend at 9-1-1.
On Saturday, the Eights will start the day against Glendive, Montana. The Blue Devils are 5-6 heading into the weekend. And then face the Minot Vistas to close out the round robin. Minot and Mandan played on Tuesday prior to the tournament this weekend.
Coverage starts at 2:15 between Pierre and Mandan and the second game to follow. Then on Saturday, Coverage starts at 9:45 between Pierre and Glendive and Pierre vs. Minot will have coverage starting at 2:15. All four games will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports. Sunday’s championship game would be played at 10:00 AM.
