Zap Fall in Extras as Streak Pushes to Seven

The Oahe Zap and Casper Spuds would have to battle for 11 innings at Hyde Stadium on Thursday night, but the Spuds would score four runs in the 11th to win 10-7 over Oahe and take the first two games in Pierre.

The Zap had to make a comeback after trailing 3-0 in the top of the first as Andrew Phillips would have an RBI double and Aiden Johnson with a RBI hit by pitch to make it 3-2 at the end of two. Oahe trailed 5-2 heading into the sixth as Buck Snabes would hit a two RBI double to pull the Zap back within one and then tie the game in the seventh on a wild pitch. After Casper would score in the eighth, another wild pitch would tie the game sending it into extra innings. Two errors in the top of the 11th would score three of the four unearned runs and with the Zap scoring just once, Casper would hold on for the win. Oahe and Casper would each use six pitchers to get through the game.

Oahe falls to 3-15 on the season and the losing streak has hit seven. The two teams have the day off on Friday for travel out to Casper where they will play Saturday and Sunday. First pitch is at 7:30 on Saturday and 4:00 on Sunday, both Central times.
