Teams from around the state will be coming to Fort Pierre on Saturday for an all-day event hosting the 5-Stand State Championships at Willow Creek.
Pierre and Stanley County will be two of the teams participating on the day looking to win on its home turf. Registration begins at 9:00 AM with the opening ceremony to take place at 9:45 and competition starting at 10:00 AM. The awards ceremony will take place approximately around 4:00 in the evening to close out the state championships. The South Dakota High School Clay Target League Association is expected to have six teams including over 30 athletes come and shoot for the day.
A total of nine teams will be in town for the 5-stand championships including Pierre and Stanley County.
