Pierre Swim Participates in Brookings and Yankton

The summer season is officially underway for the Pierre swim team as Pierre would send swimmers to both Brookings and Yankton this past weekend.

2024 SD YST Meridian Bridge Centennial Invite

Pierre sent 6 swimmers to compete in Yankton last weekend. Pierre also had 3 swimmers compete in Brookings.

In the Girls 8 & Under Division, we had 1 swimmer:

Sophia Lukkes: 50 fly-1^st, 100 back-2^nd (SDQ), 100 breaststroke-2^nd (SDQ), 200 IM-2^nd, 200 free-2^nd (SDQ), 50 breaststroke-3^rd (SDQ), & 50 back-3^rd (SDQ)- 2^nd place High Point winner

In the Girls 9-10 Division, we had 2 swimmers:

Betty Lukkes: 100 back-1^st (SDQ), 50 back-2^nd , 50 breaststroke-2^nd, 200 IM-2^nd, 400 free-2^nd (SDQ), 100 breaststroke-3^rd, 50 fly-3^rd– —2^nd place High Point
Hayden Pasbrig: 50 back-5^th & 100 free-6th

In the Girls 13-14 Division, We had 1 swimmer:

Ann Tjeerdsma: 200 back-2^nd, 400 free-2^nd, 200 free-3^rd, 100 back-3^rd, 100 breaststroke-3^rd, 100 free-4^th & 50 free-5^th (SDQ). 3^rd place High Point!

In the Girls 15-19 Division, we had 1 swimmer:

Sorrine Ekle: 100 free-1^st (SDQ), 400 free-1^st (SDQ), 800 free-1^st (SDQ), 1500 free-1^st, 50 free-2^nd, 200 free-2^nd & 100 back-2^nd— 1^st place High Point!

In the Boys 9-10 Division, we had 1 swimmer:

Garrett Linn: 100 back-2^nd (SDQ), 100 breaststroke-2^nd (SDQ), 200 free-2^nd, 50 free-2^nd (SDQ) & 50 fly-4^th.

In the Boys 9-10 Division, we had 1 swimmer:

Gannon Northrup: 400 free-5^th, 50 free-6^th (SDQ), 100 back-9^th, 50 back-11^th, 50 breaststroke-13^th, 100 free-13^th & 50 fly-16^th

In the Boys 11-12 Division, we had 1 swimmer:

Finley Ellwein: 50 fly-2^nd, 100 free-2^nd, 200 free-3^rd, 100 fly-3^rd, 200 IM-3^rd, 50 back-4^th, 100 back-4^th & 50 free-4^th. All State Qualifying times

In the Boys 13-14 Division, we had 1 swimmer:

Maxwell Brosz: 200 breaststroke-4^th, 400 free-5^th (SDQ), 100 free-5^th (SDQ), 200 free-7^th (SDQ), 100 breaststroke-7^th, 50 free-9^th (SDQ), 100 back-10^th & 200 back-11^th

Next up is the Aberdeen Summer High Point meet this weekend Friday to Sunday. Pierre will have seven swimmers competing.
