PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Street Masters car club of Pierre is preparing for the 35th annual Dam Run weekend in August. Club member Dave Hausmann asked the Pierre City Commission this week for a road closure on August 10 so the Gravity Drags could return to Church Street between Jefferson and Nicollet in Pierre….
Hausmann also asked the Commission about adding South Dakota Boulevard to the closure request for safety reasons…
A total of 59 cars took part in the gravity drags last year…
Event staff will also control traffic at Governor’s Drive to safely allow cross traffic to pass during the racing.
