PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will start with a large 10 item consent calendar before Commissioners get into action items. A public hearing will be held at 5:45 pm for a temporary liquor license filed by Richie Z’s for an event at Larkspur Landing Event Center. Commissioner will also consider award the 2024 water material bid in unfinished business. In new business, Commissioners will consider a change order on the Pawnee Street project and a street closure request for the Street Masters gravity drags on August 10th. The Commission will consider a joint powers agreement with the Central South Dakota Communications Center, a request to surplus a fire truck and a request for utility occupancy by Midcontinent Communications. Other agenda items include a change order on the outdoor pool sidewalk contract and giving an introduction to a Hughes County plat in the extra-territorial area for a replat in the Camelot Addition. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
