Of the 12-hundred May enplanements, 11-hundred-eight were to Denver with only 92 to Minneapolis. For the year, Pierre has logged four-thousand 950 enplanements which is 526 fewer than this point last year. With the exception January, enplanements have been less in each month so far compared to the previous year. Huizenga is hopeful that enplanements will normalize as the Minneapolis route ends this weekend…

Of the four-thousand 950 enplanements at Pierre Regional Airport this year so far four-thousand 561 have been to Denver with 389 to Minneapolis. Since the Twin Cities flights started in late November of last year just under 500 people have utilized the flights. Minneapolis enplanements started in full service in December of 2023 with 99 and have declined until May with 88, 83,73, 53 then May’s 92. Pierre is halfway through it’s current Essential Air Service contract with the U-S Department of Transportation and Denver Air.
