Duffy, Swanson Among Primary Election Night Winners For Stanley County School Board Seats

PIERRE, (KCCR) — Voters in the Stanley County School District are sending Shirley Swenson and Patricia Duffy to the Stanley County School Board. Swenson led the four-person race with 239 votes or 29-percent of ballots cast. Duffy scored 237 votes, also 29-percent. Mitch Kleinsasser finished third with 181 votes and Shaun Cronin fourth with 167 votes. Voters in the Kimball School District made it a close race within recount margins. James Hoing, Joshua Krier and Hillary Leiferman has tentatively won spots on the Kimball School Board. Hoing received 144 tallies, with Krier second at 124, Leiferman was third with 100 votes and Justin Blasius in fourth only four votes behind Leiferman with 96. In Chamberlain, Ronnie Brown and Dan Hyland won seats on the City Commission. Brown got 220 votes to 170 for Hyland with Ron Madison finishing third with 114 votes. In Haakon County Tim Quinn won the Republican nomination for Sheriff over Dillon Armour 228 to 202. We’ll have more central South Dakota results Thursday.
