PIERRE, (KCCR) — A 24 year-old woman received minor injuries last week after being involved in a crash with a pickup truck on Friday. Pierre Police Captain Dusty Pelle says officers were called to the intersection of Ree Street and Sioux Avenue around 8:45 am for a crash involving a bicycle. A 44 year-old man was driving the pickup with trailer at the time of the crash. As the pickup traveled through the intersection, at the same time the woman involved was riding her bicycle through the same intersection. The woman didn’t see the trailer and struck the side of it. Pelle says there was no major damage to either the trailer or the bicycle. The woman suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by a responding ambulance crew and released. The names of those involved have not been released.
