Governors with Work In Front of Them Heading to Day Two

The Pierre Governor golf team will head into the second day tied for 12th as a team as Pierre will have work cut out for them in the final day.

The Governors were led by Hadley Hart who placed tied for 42nd at the end of the first day shooting a 98, 26 over par. Annie Mosteller was tied for 44th a shot behind her at a 99. Sittie Kasan would shoot a 110 and Drew Rechtenbaugh at 113 in their first ever round in a state tournament. Pierre finished at 420 and will be within 20 shots of getting into the top ten going into day two. Mitchell leads Aberdeen Central by a single stroke in the team score as the Kernels shot a 331 on Monday and Aberdeen Central at 332. Watertown is also just a shot behind at 333 which looks to be a three team race for the team AA title.

Aberdeen’s Olivia Braun has a three shot lead and clubhouse leader after the first day shooting an even par, 72. Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink is three over par, 75 and teammate Maddie Childs and O’Gorman’s Erin Hurd are tied for third at six over par, 78.
