Fort Pierre City Council To Meet Tonight

FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight to start off the month of June. City officials will give reports for Council members before the Council gets into action items. A public hearing will be held for a temporary liquor license request for an event on July 4th at the Pat Duffy Community Center. In new business, the Council will consider a contractual engineering item and authorization to advertise for a Director of Public Works for the city. The Council will also address code enforcement at the meeting. A number of pay requests will come before the Council tonight. They include requests for payment on street improvement projects for work on West Main Avenue, Benjamin Street and Yellowstone Street. Other agenda items include authorization to hire summer staff and the introduction of an ordinance regarding a water rate surcharge. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six pm.
