PIERRE, (KCCR) — A busy agenda greets the Pierre City Commission for the Commission’s final meeting of May tonight. The meeting starts in special business with a recognition of service for Jim Halling. Commissioners will consider approval of a six item consent calendar before getting into new business. The Commission will hear details and requests for Sioux Avenue Cruise Night on June 1st. The requests include closing Sioux Avenue from Washington to Jefferson and to allow alcohol consumption outside in the enclosed areas on city streets. Commissioners will consider an occupancy license agreement with Midcontinent Communications and change order for a Terek Digger Derrick. The Commission will also consider three Agreements for Public Improvements with Chapelle Investments, L-L-C, Stencil Group II L-L-C and the Pierre Economic Development Corporation for properties on Sully Avenue. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the Pierre Municipal Building.
