Moo’s Sixth Inning Enough for Saturday Win

The Oahe Zap would score all three of its runs in the bottom of the first on Saturday, but the Fremont Moo would have a four run sixth to win 6-3 over Oahe at Hyde Stadium in game three of the opening season series.

Vince Pollizi would double home the first run, Mason Lang an RBI ground out and the third run scoring on an error made it 3-0 in the bottom of the first for the Zap, but three unearned runs would score in the sixth as the Moo would score its first runs and take the lead for good in the sixth. Ben Irsfeld would go six innings allowing seven hits, but one earned run of the four on two walks and four strikeouts as he would be tagged with the loss. The Zap outhit the Moo 11-9, but both teams had three errors each.

The final game of the series is Sunday afternoon at 1:11. Oahe will then host Spearfish on Tuesday for a single game before traveling for the first time next weekend.
