Oahe Zap Open Season with Home Stand Facing Moo

The Oahe Zap will open the season tonight in its second year as a member of the Independence League and will face league opponent Fremont Moo.

The two teams had different outcomes to the 2023 season. The Moo would finish the regular season at 34-23, the overall best team in the league while the Zap would finish at the bottom of the standings at 15-41. However, as summer baseball goes around the country, new players come and go and tonight is a chance for the Zap to get off on the right foot with a win and look to win a home series to start the season. Last year, Oahe won three series in total, the first being against the Moo, but coming in the first of July. Jamy Habeger, manager of the Oahe Zap, says it’s great to get the season going and to kick off summer at home is even better…

Glen threw 48 and 2/3 innings for the Zap last summer finishing with a 3.51 ERA and 1.44 WHIP and had a 5-4 record with a save. Glenn had the most wins on the pitching staff last summer. Habeger says he wants to see success from all the guys as the year goes along…

And Habeger gives keys to get a first game win…

First pitch tonight at Hyde Stadium is scheduled for 6:05.
