PIERRE, (KCCR) — It’s another very light agenda for the Pierre City Commission tonight. After weeks of longer agendas only a single item is on tonight’ agenda beyond an extensive consent calendar. The calendar contains minutes from the May 14th meeting, approval of claims and a number of new hires. They include a firefighter cadet application and seasonal new hires in the water, fire, street, cemetery, parks and recreation departments. Two raffle requests are on the consent calendar tonight for the Friends of Rawlins Library and Countryside Hospice Support and Memory Care. The only stand-along agenda item for the Commission is considering approval of landfill bale bags, provided the city received an acceptable bid. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm in the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
