Pierre Man Arrested Tuesday Morning After Crashing Into Vehicle Parked In Driveway

PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Pierre man is arrested early Tuesday morning on a third Driving Under the Influence charge. Pierre Police Captain Dusty Pelle says officers were notified around 3:45 Tuesday morning of a vehicle crash in the 200 block of Mercury Street in Pierre. Investigating officers determined a silver Chrysler 300 had driven over a curb and through a yard, ultimately crashing into an unoccupied Chevy Suburban parked in a driveway. Officers located the driver of the Chrysler 300, identified by police as 23 year-old Dustin Marshall of Pierre, sleeping in the driver’s seat. Officers learned through their investigation Marshall had a suspended driver’s license and had to be under the influence of alcohol. Marshall was transported to the Hughes County Jail on charges including a third offense D-U-I; Driving with a Suspended License; Careless Driving and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility of a Vehicle, or having no active insurance.
