PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will start with approval of a four item consent calendar including minutes, claims a new hire in the Street Department and dozens of seasonal summer hires for the Recreation Department. The Commission will consider approval of bids for electrical equipment guardrail improvements and will hold four public hearings at or after 5:45 pm. Those public hearings include a retail, on-off sale wine and cider license for the Oahe Zap baseball team; temporary liquor license request for Capital City Liquor at Mustang Aviation; an on-sale liquor license request for Hillsview Golf Course and an airport lease with Kroeplin Air, L-L-C. New business includes Commissioners considering an airport lease with Dakota Pro-Air, two testing services agreements with Aaron Swan and Associates and 2024-2025 malt beverage license renewals. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
