The Pierre Governors will get a chance to avenge its first loss of the season and pick up some big seed points taking on the Stevens Raiders tonight from Hyde Stadium.
The Governors dropped the first game of the season to the Stevens Raiders who have in turn been near the top of the standings consistently throughout the year. The Raiders are 13-3 on the year and have picked up two wins this past weekend sweeping the Sturgis Scoopers, shutting out the Scoopers in both games.
The Governors are on the other side looking to get back in the win column. Pierre is 9-6 and lost both games to Harrisburg and had just three hits in total in two games. The offense scored just two runs, but without an RBI.
Coverage tonight begins at 4:45 with first pitch at 5:00 for the doubleheader at Hyde Stadium. Both games will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
