The Pierre Governor tennis team would wrap up the ESD tournament on Tuesday and would place sixth as a team overall with Devin Dodson and Weston Northrup placing fourth in doubles flight two.
The day started out for Northrup in singles flight four and Jacob Leiferman in singles flight three each falling in the consolation championship as both finished in sixth, the highest for any singles flight. Then Dodson and Northrup would win its first round matchup as the five seed would upset the four seed into the championship semifinals. The duo would fall to the top seed in the semifinals and the two seed in the third place game finishing in fourth place.
Pierre would score a 28.5, good for sixth best in the ESD, ahead of Huron, Aberdeen Central and Brookings. Harrisburg would win the ESD team championship with a 335.5
