The Pierre Governor softball team will have a chance at picking up plenty of wins this weekend with four games split over Friday and Saturday in Sioux Falls.
The 2-7 Governors will first see Brookings in a make up game from last weekend who is coming in at 4-3. The Bobcats will first face undefeated Lincoln at 10:00 AM before then facing the Govs.
Pierre will then face Dakota Valley at 5:30 tonight. The Panthers are 3-3 and in ninth place in the Class A standings. Dakota Valley is scheduled to face Harrisburg and Mitchell before then taking on the Govs in the third game of the day.
On Saturday, Pierre will face 8-3 Jefferson at 11:30 to start the day. It’ll be the first meeting against a Sioux Falls team this season with still a matchup with the Cavs on May 10 in Pierre.
The Governors will finish the weekend against a familiar foe, the Mitchell Kernels at 2:00. Pierre dropped an 8-1 loss to the Kernels on Tuesday of this week in Mitchell.
All four games will be at Sherman Park in Sioux Falls.
