PIERRE (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will start in special business with details on construction and traffic control for the Pawnee Street construction project. Commissioners will consider approval of a nine item consent calendar. The calendar includes approval of minutes and claims, setting a public hearing for a request by the Oahe Zap baseball team for a retail on-off sale wine and cider license, the promotion of Lacey Walz to Finance Officer and new hires in the Police, Water and Parks Departments. Commissioners will give second and final consideration to a proposed plat change and consider a request to bid for landfill bale bags. Commissioners will consider a request to purchase mastic material and crack sealant for the Street Department, an amendment to an engineering services agreement and second reading of the 2023 Budget Carryover ordinance. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
