The Potter County Battlers would place second on both the girls and boys team scores while Sully Buttes was fourth at the Yellowstone Trail Conference Meet in Eureka on Thursday.
Sully Buttes
For the Sully Buttes Chargers had two wins on the day as Addison Chicoine would win the shot put while Kayden Westergren would win the discus throw. Westergren was also second in the shot put as was Teghan Westphal in the javelin. Those two along with Carson Mercer and Gavin Barber would finish second in the 4×200 relay race. Barber also was second in the 400 meter run. Payge Bakker was second in the discus throw for the girls while the team of Jaycee and Jaydn Jaeger along with Caterie and Tahnie Yellow Hawk would finish second in the 4×200 relay.
Potter County
Potter County would finish with 16 wins overall as the girls would pick up half of those wins as Jaydn Ahlemeier would win the 800 and 1600 meter runs. Ahlemeier along with Rayel Persoon, Dannika Kaup and Emma Schlachter would win the 4×400 relay race. Kaup, Persoon, Schlachter and Kayden Cronin would win the sprint medley relay race. Taaylor Long, Skyler Oster, Finlee Heien and Taylyn Raush would win the 4×200 relay race. Heien would also win the 400 meter hurdles while Schlacter would in the 400 meter run and Paige Ahlemeier in the 3200 meter run.
For the boys side, Sean Seurer would win the 100 meter run while also winning the 4×100 and 4×200 relay races with Sep van Oosterhout, Landon Larson and Jhett Simon. Seuere, Larson and Simon would have Nicholas Schlachter help win the sprint medley relay race while Larson would win the long jump. Schlachter also had wins in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs. Michael Jager, Oosterhout, Boston Brown and Jackson Simon would win the 4×400 relay race.
You can see a full list of the results below. The Battlers will host the Potter County Invite on Saturday as Sully Buttes, Stanley County, Miller, Jones County and Highmore-Harrold will all be there. Field events will start at 10:00 AM weather pending.
