Cecil Johnson Invite Competitive Throughout

19 Total teams would meet in Presho on Thursday for the Cecil Johnson Invite with Lyman, Miller, Jones County and Highmore Harrold competing from the area.

Lyman

Host Lyman would get two wins as Rory McManus would pick up the win the 110 meter hurdles while Aksel Ehlers would set a new PR winning the pole vault. Addy Moran have the best finish of the girls finishing fourth in the discus throw.

Miller

The Miller Rustlers would pick up three wins overall on Thursday as Alex Schumacher would win the 1600 meter run while Pierce Baumberger won the 3200 meter run. The team of Joseph Baker, Isaak Hunter, Kord VanZee and Colby Kolda would win the 4×200 relay. For the girls, Joanlei Baker would get second in the discus while Jolie Palmer, Paige Werdel, Gracen Werdel and Madeline Nye would get second in the sprint medley relay race as the best girls finisher.

Jones County

The Jones County Coyotes had BreAna Aske have the highest finish for the Coyotes girls finishing second in the 200 and 400 meter runs. Aske also had a third place finish in the long jump while Addison Rankin was third in the high jump. Asa Best for the Coyote boys also was second in the long jump for the best finish as Adrik Schoon was fourth in the 800 meters.

Highmore-Harrold

Autumn Fallis had the only win for the Highmore-Harrold Pirates winning the 3200 meter run. She also was fourth in the 1600 meter run and 300 meter hurdles.  The team of Carson Stephenson, Brooks McPeak, Kia McCauley and Jordan Erfman was third in the 4×800 relay while Aitor Ortega was fourth in the long jump for the Pirate boys.
