In game two, Pierre opened up with the lead in the top of the second on an RBI ground out from Lowery. However, Sturgis would score five runs in the bottom of the second an another six in the bottom of the third taking an 11-2 lead after three innings. Lowery would get three RBIs and Templeton would drive in a run. Ely Broers would record a triple, the only extra base hit in the loss.
