Governors Split Home Triangular

The Pierre Governor boys tennis team would split its triangular on Tuesday with a 6-3 loss to the Huron Tigers, but a 7-2 win over Spearfish moving its dual record to 3-8 on the season.

The Governors were able to increase its score total against the Tigers, after losing 7-2 the first time, did pick up an extra win as both Lucas Hight and Jacob Leiferman in flights two and three along with Devin Dodson and Weston Northrup in doubles flight two would all grab wins in the morning.

Then the Governors would take it to the Spartans going 2-0 against them in duals this season with wins again by Hight and Leiferman in singles along with Dodson and Northrup in doubles. Hight and Leiferman in doubles flight one would pick up a win while Dodson in singles flight one, Brady Lowery in flight five and Noah Lueking in flight six would all grab wins to pick up the team win overall in the afternoon session.
