Winner Man Sentenced To Time Served In Federal Burglary Case

PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Winner man is sentenced on a federal third degree burglary charge. U-S Attorney Alison Ramsdell says Chief Judge Roberto Lange sentenced 21 year-old Anthony Arellano last Monday to the time he’s already served in jail, which was equal to about a year in custody. He will have to serve three years of supervised release and pay one-thousand 665-dollars in restitution. Arellano was indicted by a federal grand jury on the charge in August of last year and pleaded guilty in January. Ramsdell says Arellano broke into a Rosebud store in the early morning hours of June 1st of 2023 and made off with several hundred hundred dollars of merchandise. Surveillance video was used to identify Arellano and he was arrested at a home in St. Francis two weeks later on June 15th.
