The Sioux Falls Stampede didn’t have enough in the tank in the three game series after winning the first game in overtime, Tri-City Storm came back with two wins including an 8-3 drubbing Wednesday night to win the series.
Tri-City would score three quick goals not even 10 minutes into the first period. Hunter Anderson scored twice and JJ Wiebusch had the other as it was not enough for the Stampede in the decisive game three of the series. Christian Manz was pulled after giving up the sixth goal making 13 saves on 19 shots.
Tri-City advances to face the Fargo Force in the Conference semifinals as the best-of-five series is set to run from Friday, April 19 to April 26.
