Senior Annie Mosteller would finish five shots off the lead after the first day of the Rapid City Invite which will go from the Meadowbrook Golf Course to the Elk Golf Course on Tuesday, tying for fourth.
Mosteller finished with a 11 over par, 83 picking up two birdies, hole 12 and 15. Mosteller is only two shots back of third place and four shots back of second place. She is one of the three Governors to compete in the Rapid City Invite. Hadley Hart is inside the top 20 tied for 18th shooting a 100, 28 over par. Hart is within six shots of reaching 13th place. Drew Rechtenbaugh competed for the first time all season after dealing with an injury which kept her out for the entire year last year. She would shoot a 105, in the top 20.
Kaitlin Strain of St. Thomas More is the clubhouse leader at the end of the first day at a 77, five over par.
Day two is expected to tee off 10:00 AM Central time.
