The Pierre Governor softball team is back in action after a week off traveling to Yankton tonight before then facing O’Gorman on Saturday in Sioux Falls.
The Govs are still waiting for its home opener, which is coming next week Friday, but at 2-1, a chance to extend its record before hitting the Riggs Softball Field. Both Yankton and O’Gorman head into the weekend at 1-2 with wins on Thursday as the Gazelles beat Rapid City Central and O’Gorman knocked off Spearfish. O’Gorman will get Rapid City Central today before facing the Govs on Saturday which will be its third game in three days.
First pitch on Friday is at 4:00 in Yankton and then at 2:00 at O’Gorman on Saturday.
