This weekend the Pierre Governors will travel back to the Sioux Falls area and face Brandon Valley today and then Jefferson on Saturday, both doubleheaders.
The Governors are now 5-2 on the season after its win over the Huron Tigers on Tuesday. Pierre is in the midst of five games this week as Brandon Valley is going to be playing its fifth and sixth game this week tonight. The Lynx split its doubleheader against O’Gorman on Tuesday and then played in Yankton last night in another doubleheader sweeping the Bucks. The games put Brandon Valley’s pitching in a bind heading into tonight’s doubleheader.
The Jefferson Cavaliers will also be playing its fifth and sixth game this week when Saturday rolls around. The Cavs started the week losing to Harrisburg 14-2 on Monday, then beating Mitchell 7-0 on Tuesday before beating Washington 10-0 on Thursday and will play Grand Forks Central tonight before the doubleheader against Pierre on Saturday.
Coverage tonight in Brandon will begin at 4:45 with first pitch at 5:00 with Saturday’s doubleheader against Jefferson scheduled for first pitch at 12:00. All four games will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
