Tuesday the Lyman Raiders and Jones County Coyotes kicked off its track and field season along with Stanley County competing again at the Harry Weller Invite in Kadoka.
Stanley County
The Stanley County Buffaloes would come away with two wins on the day as the team of Paxton Deal, Colton Brady, Tyson Peterson and Spencer Sargent would win the 1600 meter sprint medley relay while Kaysen Magee would win the 3200 meter run. Brendon Bothwell would have a third place finish in the 200 meter run for the Buffs.
Lyman
The Lyman Raiders best finish was Rory McManus placing second in the 100 meter hurdles while he would also place third in the 300 meter hurdles. Cole Kieffer was fourth in the high jump while Kenzie Wagner was fifth in the long jump.
Jones County
The Jones County Coyotes had six wins as BreAna Aske had wins in the long jump, 200 meters and teamed up with Denae Mann, Timber Vevig and Sunny Valburg in the 1600 meter sprint medley relay race. Asa Best won the boys long jump along with a 4×200 relay win with Thad Kierl, Adrik Schoon and Kaden Kinsley. Kinsley also won the 400 meter run for the Coyotes.
