Light Agenda For Pierre City Commission Tonight

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will start in special business with an update on Severe Weather Preparedness Week before considering approval of a four item consent calendar. The calendar includes claims, minutes from the April 2nd meeting and two seasonal new hires in the Parks and Water Departments. In unfinished business, second reading will be given to ordinances revisions regarding the use of shipping containers for storage in Pierre. A public hearing is scheduled for 5:45 pm on a petition to vacate a portion of Tyler Avenue and some alleys and Commissioners will consider a plat in Prairie Ridge Addition on Park Avenue. In new business, the city will consider accepting a grant award from the Central Plains Water Development District and a change order on the washbay project. Commissioners will close out the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
