Despite outshooting their opponent 30-14, Team South Dakota 14U Girls would fall 1-0 to the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights on Wednesday at the Scheels Iceplex in Sioux Falls.
Team SD outshoot Vegas in each of the three periods nearly doubling them on chances each frame. Despite the effort, Nicole Gentile made all 30 saves in net for the Golden Knights to pick up the first win of the tournament and put the 14U Team SD behind in the standings. However, two wins on Thursday and Friday will almost certainly put them into the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Team South Dakota will play Fox Motors at 11:00 AM today in Sioux Falls.
