Last week the All-State teams were released and Pierre’s Jett Zabel receives the honor of being named to the Honorable Mention side of the All-State selections.
Zabel nearly averaged a double-double a game after missing all of his junior year with a shoulder injury. Zabel scored 13.5 points a game and grabbed 9.7 rebounds a game. Brianna Kusler, head coach of the Governors says Zabel had an all-around great season…
For everyone listed on the AA All-State teams, Zabel averaged the most rebounds per game with only Colton Smith of Mitchell averaging at least nine rebounds per game. Kusler says you have to take a lot of pride and have a lot of guts to rebound the basketball like Zabel does…
Zabel will go on to play football at North Dakota State next season but as he walks away from the basketball court, Kusler says he’s going to be remembered for the hard work he put in each day…
