Fort Pierre City Council Set For First April Meeting Tonight

FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is set to start April with a meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room. The Council will get reports from city officials before getting into action items on the agenda. Two public hearings will be held for temporary liquor license requests. The first is an event at the Stanley County Fairgrounds on June 1st while the second is for the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center for events in July, September and October. The Council will consider accepting a proposal to re-seal the exterior of the city’s water tank and two resolutions. One resolution is in regards to bad debt while the second resolution is for a plat request. Council members will consider approval of a 2024 electrical license for Tieszen Electric and personnel items including the authorization to hire and consider salaries.
