Dodson, Team South Dakota 16U Boys Ready for National Tournament

This week begins the start of Team South Dakota in its National Tournaments as the Oahe Capitals have representation on three teams which includes the 16U Boys team competing in Dallas, Texas.

Dylan Dodson is the lone Capital on the 16U boys team as 20 kids from the state team up to try and win the first National Championship for Team South Dakota since 2021. Seven Sioux Falls players and four Rapid City players help make up half the team as Dodson, Mylan Evans of Watertown and Keaton Hruby of Brandon Valley are lone members from their respective organizations. Dodson this year scored 24 points evenly scoring 12 goals and 12 assists.

Team South Dakota opens the tournament on Wednesday, April 3 with a 1:15 puck drop against the Vermont Flames. They’ll play on Thursday at 9:00 AM against Alabama Thunder and finish pool play at 5:15 on Friday against the Delaware Ducks. The semifinals will be played on Saturday at either 1:00 or 1:15 with the championship game on Sunday at 8:30 AM.
