The Pierre Governor athletic competitions were hit with winter weather for Tuesday as both the Governor softball team and track and field team were scheduled to compete, but both will not happen with Sunday and Monday’s weather.
The Bob Judson invite was scheduled to have 11 teams which included local teams, Stanley County, Sully Buttes, Highmore-Harrold and Potter County. It’s the second straight year the first scheduled date of the Bob Judson did not happen.
The Governor softball team is unfortunately getting used to changing the schedule around. Pierre is 1-1 on the season but every date has been shifted, altered or straight postponed. The Govs were supposed to play two weekends ago in Rapid City but didn’t and then last week got flipped around just to get games in to start the season. Pierre was scheduled to face Stevens and Sturgis in Rapid City for a triangular, but it has been postponed.
There are no make up dates announced at this time.
