Today begins the season for the Stanley County Buffaloes Track and Field team as they travel to Mitchell for the Dakota Wesleyan High School Open.
It is an indoor event for the Buffaloes as it will be at the Avera Sports and Wellness Complex hosted by Dakota Wesleyan. The Buffs will be one of 12 Class A teams and one of 27 total teams at the first event of the season. For most of these teams, especially with the winter weather to begin the week, it will be the first time competing.
The field and track events all begin at 12:00 today in Mitchell.
