Pierre Softball Travels to Aberdeen to Face Golden Eagles, Watertown Arrows

After not having the opening game of the year on Saturday and postponed on Tuesday, the Pierre Governor softball team will travel up to Aberdeen today to face the Golden Eagles and Watertown Arrows in a triangular.

While the weather outside would cancel both games quickly, the games are scheduled to be played at Presentation College at the bubble to allow the games to still be played for day.

Today Pierre will face two teams who also did not make the state tournament last year and the Govs split its two meetings between the teams. Pierre lost 13-2 to Watertown but beat Aberdeen 15-0. Aberdeen Central went winless last season and the Arrows finished in 10th place in the AA standings while the Governors were 11th.

First pitch of Pierre and Aberdeen Central is scheduled for 3:00 with the Watertown game to follow.
