Miller, Potter County Record First Track and Field of Year

The Miller Rustlers and Potter County Battlers would be able to have its opening meet of the season on Tuesday traveling to Aberdeen at the Northern State Invite.

The event was an indoor meet allowing the competition to be held on the day. For the Miller Rustlers boys, Alex Schumacher would pick up an individual win in the 800 meter run and place second in the 1600 meter run. Isaak Hunter would place second in the 55 meter hurdles while Colby Kolda would finish with two top five finishes getting third in the 200 meter run while also finishing fifth in the 55 meter dash. Pierce Baumberger would place fifth in the 1600 meter run. On the girls side, Joanlei Baker would place the highest of any Rustler getting second in the shot put throw. The team of Paige Werdel, Jolie Palmer, Madeline Nye and Gracen Werdel would place third in the 4×400 relay while Gracen Werdel would also place fourth in the 400 meters and Nye eighth in the 800 meters.

For the Potter County Battlers the team of Sean Seurer, Fernando Riberio Sep Van Osterhout and Nicholas Schlachter would place the highest for the boys at seventh place in the 4×400 relay while Tanner Vandervorst would be ninth in the pole vault and Seurer tenth in the 200 meters. The Potter County girls would get two wins as Emma Schlacter would win the 800 meter run while she would team up with Rayel Persoon, Taylyn Rausch and Dannika Kaup to win the 4×400 relay. Kaup and Persoon would finish second and fifth respectively in the 400 meters. Jaycee Stevens would be fifth in the 1600 meter run and Kayden Cronin would be sixth in the long jump and seventh in the triple jump for the Battlers.
