This afternoon, weather pending, the Miller Rustlers and Potter County Battlers are scheduled to travel to Aberdeen for the Northern State invite for the opening track and field meet of the season.
This is an indoor event to begin the season for both the Rustlers and Battlers as they are two of the 17 schools at the Northern State Invite at the Barnett Center. Potter County is one of four Class B teams and Miller will be one of eight Class A teams to compete in the opening meet. While the weather outside is not conducive for a meet, thankfully the Barnett Center can hold the meet and get the athletes moving before the Easter break.
The field events are scheduled to begin at 2:30 with the track events to go at 3:30.
