The Lyman Raiders and Jones County Coyotes were scheduled to be at Gregory on Monday for the first track and field meet of the season. However, winter weather postponed the meet with Gregory closing school.
While Jones County had a 10:00 AM start, Lyman was closed and the chance of the track meet happening heading into the weekend was already slim. Once Gregory closed for the day on Monday it signified the complete cancellation of the meet for the day. Now, both schools will have to wait much longer for its first meet of the season. Lyman will travel to Winner on Saturday, April 6 while Jones County won’t compete again until Tuesday, April 9 in Kadoka.
The Gregory meet was one of two meets scheduled and canceled for Monday.
