SDSU Women Receive 12 Seed, Face Utah Saturday in First Round

The South Dakota State Women’s basketball team is back in the NCAA Tournament after taking the Summit League Championship last week. Saturday night, the Jacks play its opening round game in the 5-12 matchup against the Utah Utes in Washington.

While it’s the opening round game for both teams, they are the last game to tip off in the first round and will have to wait longer than anybody else to get on the court between Friday and Saturday. SDSU is on a 21 game winning streak at 27-5 going undefeated in Summit League play. In fact, four of the five losses for the Jacks have come against ranked opponents.
