PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Volga man is arrested in Pierre Tuesday after a tussle with police. Pierre Police Captain Dusty Pelle says an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation near the intersection of Euclid and Prospect Avenues in Pierre around 3:15 pm. During the traffic stop, the driver, identified by police as 54 year-old Deon Lucas of Volga, became uncooperative with officers. Police eventually took Lucas into custody. He was transported to the Hughes County Jail on charges including exhibition driving, resisting arrest and obstructing an officer.
