Pierre City Commission To Meet Tonight

PIERRE, (KCCR) — It’s a light agenda again for the Pierre City Commission. Tonight’s meeting begins in special business with an update on the Let Freedom Fly airshow and a report from the Pierre Economic Development Corporation on the Realizing Rural’s Child Care Study. The Commission will consider approval of a seven item consent calendar containing minutes and claims, setting a public hearing date for a temporary liquor license, two new hires and two raffle requests for the Little Learners preschool and Oahe Golf Association. The only items of new business are an update on the John Waldron Bridge project and a public hearing at 5:45 pm for a lease at Pierre Regional Airport. Commissioners will present any dialogue they may have to close out the meeting. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
