FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League building. City officials will give reports to the Council before getting into regular agenda items. A public hearing will be held on a temporary liquor license and the Council will hear an update on construction of the new Missouri River bridge. Bids will be awarded for 2024 street, curb and gutter, crack and chip seal projects. A medical cannabis license renewal is up for consideration along with insurance proposals for hail damaged roofs, personnel items and the authorization to advertise for vacant positions will be considered by the Council. Other agenda items include setting two public hearing dates, discussing spring clean up and a vacation home license renewal. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six pm. The Council is also meeting at 5:30 as the local Board of Equalization to consider three appeals.
